Logo Design

Along with the activity sheets, I was also tasked to develop the NBA Kids Club logo that resonated with the targeted audience and reflected their interest in basketball. The logo needed to be vibrant, engaging, and appeal to young children.

The initial phase involved brainstorming and sketching out ideas with the brief in mind. To convey playfulness, I decided to handwrite the typographic elements to add an energetic feel – cleaning up the lines in illustrator. I also added fun characteristics to the type such as fun rotations and movements to give the logo a dynamic and energetic feel.

In 2023, NBA Canada approached me to design the logo and create activity sheets for their new initiative, NBA Kids Club. This project aimed to engage children aged 6-11 who are interested in basketball and eager to learn more about the sport. The primary goal was to develop a series of engaging and educational worksheets that would both entertain and teach young athletes the basics of basketball.
